BoatWrench Privacy Policy

Overview
BoatWrench is a boat ownership and maintenance application that helps users organize boats, engines, maintenance records, fuel logs, trips, parts inventory, documents, photos, and related ownership information.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use BoatWrench.
Information You Provide
You may voluntarily enter or attach information such as:
- Boat and engine information
- Maintenance records and service history
- Fuel logs
- Trip logs
- Parts and equipment information
- Photos and documents you choose to attach
- Notes and checklists
Local Data Storage
BoatWrench stores the boat and ownership information you enter locally on your device.
BoatWrench does not currently require a user account, and the current version does not upload your boat records, maintenance records, fuel logs, trip logs, attached documents, photos, notes, or other ownership records to BoatWrench-operated servers.
Removing the application or clearing its application data may result in the loss of locally stored information.
Photos, Documents, and Camera
BoatWrench may access your device's camera, photos, or documents when you explicitly choose to capture or attach media within the application.
BoatWrench does not access these items for advertising purposes.
Advertising and Google AdMob
BoatWrench displays advertisements provided through Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
Google and its advertising services may automatically collect or receive certain information when an advertisement is requested or displayed. Depending on the device, configuration, applicable law, and user privacy choices, this may include:
- Device or other identifiers, including advertising identifiers where available
- IP address, which may be used to derive approximate location
- Interactions with the application and advertisements
- Diagnostic and performance information
This information may be used for purposes including providing and measuring advertisements, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance.
BoatWrench does not provide advertisers with the boat records, maintenance information, fuel logs, trip information, photos, documents, notes, or other ownership information that you enter into the application.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
Data Sharing
BoatWrench does not sell the boat and ownership information that you enter into the application.
However, because BoatWrench uses Google AdMob, certain device, advertising, interaction, diagnostic, and approximate-location information may be collected or shared with Google and its advertising technologies as described above.
Analytics
BoatWrench does not currently operate its own separate analytics service.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect information used for analytics and advertisement measurement as part of providing advertising services.
Advertising ID
BoatWrench uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which may access your device's advertising identifier where available.
Your operating system may provide controls that allow you to reset, delete, or otherwise limit the use of advertising identifiers and personalized advertising.
Data Security
BoatWrench's core user-entered records are stored locally on your device. Information transmitted by third-party services such as Google AdMob is handled according to the security practices of those service providers.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children's Privacy
BoatWrench is intended for adult boat owners and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.
BoatWrench does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.
Your Privacy Choices
Your device and Google services may provide controls related to advertising, advertising identifiers, and personalized advertisements.
Additional privacy choices may be presented where required based on your location and applicable privacy laws.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as BoatWrench evolves, including if future versions introduce additional advertising services, online services, cloud synchronization, accounts, or other features that change how information is handled.
Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date shown at the top of this policy.
